Being for a few days in one of the worlds most respectable fashion towns, I decided together with a camera guy to stand guard at Paris biggest and most popular fashion stores. And wait and just count the amount of women who go in or leave wearing a high waisted jeans or trouser for that matter.

We located our self at a strategic location for the main entrance of Galeries Lafayette on boulevard Haussmann, if I can call that the main entrance. It is hard to indicate what is what in France now-a-days. Lafayette Homme & Gourmet and Lafayette Maison, the main store, offer a vast array of ladies, men’s and children’s apparel, VO for young people, skincare products and cosmetics, food products, kitchenware, cooking utensils, table linen, crystalware, Chinaware, and interior decoration items.

Okay, I belief everything is here for sale and we where eager to interview and shot some pictures of people wearing high waist trousers, after one or was it two hours we give up on only looking for people wearing denim trousers.

Of course we missed the ‘free’ weekly fashion show which confinement is on Fridays and not like on Saturday or Sunday when most people not have to work. It was not us, we where highly active, we had more cappuccino’s and Cafe Latte then official healthy and being high on caffeine it was highly unlikely that we missed any people wearing high waisted jeans trousers.

Back in Thailand, I contacted a few jeans manufacturers, Thailand is famous for making smaller amount of high quality fashion jeans, and asked them do you make for any customer high waisted jeans trousers. All with the exception of one jeans manufacturer who made a trouser which would qualify as high waist jeans trouser, but the high waist part is zipped on or off on demand.
