VF Corp.'s jeanswear division has named an executive with apparel and retailing experience to be its next president of the Lee brand.Joseph Dzialo, 52, will join the company Sept. 25 and will be based in Merriam, Kan.
He was most recently senior vice president and general manager for U.S. sales for The Timberland Co. He's also worked for Nine West Group, U.S. Shoe Corp., Procter & Gamble Co. and LCA-Vision.
Joseph Dzialo take over at Lee just as VF is launching an advertising campaign for the jeans brand. Lee is one of the mainstays of VF's jeanswear division, the Greensboro-based company's largest single unit.
Henry David Lee founded the H.D Lee mercantile Company back in In 1889 in Kansas. Motivated by the unconsistant quality of foreign workwear H.D Lee aimed to create quality American garments.
