High-Waist Jeans are back in Fashion

Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and more stars are rocking in over the hip jeans!

Don't still belief the "Saturday Night Live" sketch that high-waisted jeans are just for moms. Because they are officially back in fashion!

Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and now Mischa Barton have all been spotted over the past few weeks rocking jeans that button sky-high above the hips.

Sultry singer Ciara jump started the trend earlier this year in her "Promise" music video with a pair of sky-high red heels and high waisters by Stella McCartney. She even took the trend to MTV's "TRL," where she proudly showed off a pair of carpenter jeans with curved patch pockets by Grey Ant.

But the fad really got a bump when trendsetter Jenny from the Block wore a skin-tight pair with a white vest last month on "TRL." Alas, Jessica Simpson and Mischa Barton haven't fared as well. "Daisy Duke" and "Marissa Cooper" have both been taking beatings from critics on the Internet for stepping out with daring long-waisted versions that some say don't flatter the starlets' coveted bods.
